In the fall of 2015, BASIS International School Shenzhen opened its doors. Located in Shekou of Shenzhen City, our school is in the heart of this beautiful city’s rapid development and focuses on providing the best education to expatriate families and citizens alike. BASIS International School Shenzhen is the first BASIS Curriculum School opened outside the United States.
The Washington Post reported on the initiation of BASIS International School Shenzhen in an article titled BASIS, One of America’s Top Charter School Networks, Seeks New Turf: China. China’s domestic newspaper Reference News then translated and reprinted The Washington Post article.
Our students study the complete BASIS Curriculum from preschool to grade 12 in an immersive English-only academic community. This nationally and internationally acclaimed liberal arts and sciences program prepares our students to be full participants in the 21st-century world of commerce and innovation. Grounded in traditional content mastery, they learn to think independently and to collaborate with peers on complex analytical and creative projects.
